RV Solar Kits in the Snow
29TH AUG 2013
A lot of our clients live in heavy snow areas in the midwest and northwest. This causes their RV solar kits to become “snowed in” and unable to get proper sunlight in the late fall and winter months. You can simply take a towel and push the snow off the panels. People often ask me what is the best way to keep the panels from getting snowed on. There isn’t a good way. It’s nature and you generally don’t want to tilt these panels on your roof, because it can cause wind resistance and friction when driving. You want to make sure that you do all you can to treat your solar panels with care. Do this, and they’ll last for 20 + years in most cases. We can help you with other support issues and sales help.
