RV Solar Kits in the Snow

29TH AUG 2013

A lot of our clients live in heavy snow areas in the midwest and northwest. This causes their RV solar kits to become “snowed in” and unable to get proper sunlight in the late fall and winter months. You can simply take a towel and push the snow off the panels. People often ask me what is the best way to keep the panels from getting snowed on. There isn’t a good way. It’s nature and you generally don’t want to tilt these panels on your roof, because it can cause wind resistance and friction when driving. You want to make sure that you do all you can to treat your solar panels with care. Do this, and they’ll last for 20 + years in most cases. We can help you with other support issues and sales help.

With Go Power panels you know you will get what you pay for. They are a little more exspensive and the quality is there to support the price.

Maybe save a few dollars with another RV solar panel brand.

There are always different panels that you can choose to build your solar array from. Always consider price versus quality. Solar panels are things you really don't want to have to replace. It is a pain, so choose what works for your RV or off-grid array. This is a great entry levelf Go Power's Inverter Charger Kit. They offer the Elite and Extreme kits. These have different amounts of solar and also different size Inverter units.

We have found these kits contain much of what you need for getting going with off-grid solar and inverter power. We have also added lithium battery and sealant as well

He had a great idea of installing the solar on a roof rack, which is great! This was nice because he has access to tie them together and work on them easily.
